Bending, un-breaking

Bending, un-breaking
This is all Greek to me

Is there an Axe to grind?

For the baker’s dozen time?

Biting tongues?

Is it that I bought a lemon?

Rock plays in my head

Avoiding a chip on the shoulder

So close but no cigar

Cracking up and crossing fingers.

Bending but un-breaking.
Curiosity still kills the cat, so watch.

So it doesn’t end up a dead ringer

Of a play in Elizabethan age

Many like us are dropping like flies

But we are sure survivors.
So let us get down to brass tacks

We aren’t kidding here.

This is for real
