I was told as a young boy that whoever I relate with has red blood running in their veins and that means they can make mistakes. I should be ready to forgive and allow them to make amends because I am also not immune to making mistakes.
I have tried to live up to that but what I see around is that we hold people especially leaders both spiritual and secular in such a high standard that we believe they can never make mistakes.
This has made not a few people live a life of lies, they are not free to admit mistakes and make corrections. We have fueled their ego and pride.
When we see people that are humble enough to admit mistakes, we frown or laugh at their failures and thereby preventing them from being honest next time.
Admitting that you made some mistakes isn’t a sign of weakness but strength, you will earn the respect of people and will be able to help them also with their issues.
They will know that if you can successfully overcome your mistakes they can also do the same. This I believe is the way of true leaders.
Set people free and see them fly high.
Do have a great weekend.
