Study: Mathew 4:17-22
We continue our study looking at verse 19 and 20. Yesterday we saw that the call to ‘follow Jesus’ is to everyone. He has given each and every one of us an assignment to fulfil. The disciple isn’t called to lazy around, he is called to a life of responsibility.
To everyone that will move on to a closer relationship with God, we must take responsibility for the assignment he has called us.
When we FOLLOW, he will MAKE us. It is God that will make us, we can’t make ourselves. He will take us through many levels of training that will make us fit for our assignment.
Until you are made you will not be fit. Be focused on God and allow him to make you. Don’t be distracted by things and people.
He is the potter and we are the clay, let us all allow Him to make us into what he desires. The making may be rigorous and painful but it is in our best interest.
“He will sit as a REFINER and PURIFIER of silver; he will purify the Levites and refine them like gold and silver. Then the LORD will HAVE MEN who will bring offerings in righteousness,” Mal 3:3
This is the work we must ask God to do in our lives.
Spend time talking with God, ask Him to make you fit.
