​Of various flames and fires!

Philip woke up that morning and everything within him called Olamide to come spend the weekend with him.They’ve been chatting every night for the past few weeks and it looked like they are reigniting the spark again, four years after their relationship had ended when he became born again.
She didn’t really let go or move on with her life. She loved him so much and Philip also loved her but the decision had to be taken.
They are now more matured, both of them working and earning a decent pay. Philip works in an investment firm while Olamide works with the Lagos State Internal Revenue Service(LIRS).
Philip is a minister in his church but due to his busy schedule at work, he has been skipping services. His devotional life is literally dead but because he is a worker in church, he gets to lead services sometimes. He looked okay on the outside. 
Olamide on the other hand hasn’t come to really commit to Christ even though she is a worker in church as well but she is someone you can classify as a church goer.
When Philip got to the office that morning, he couldn’t concentrate, his thoughts were about Olamide. So he chatted her up. They both agreed to do lunch during the weekend. 
In the weeks that followed, Olamide travelled for a course and their chatting continued. It got to a point that they started to sext and send nudes to each other. Philip used to masturbate before he became a believer, he resumed again when they started sexting.
That was how the spark became a flame and then a conflagration. 
After Olamide came from the one month course, she came around to spend the whole weekend with him. They enjoyed themselves to the fullest.
Philip knew that he couldn’t possibly marry Olamide, so he had to create a meaningless fight to scatter the relationship that was consuming both of them.
However it got worse for Philip, he was jumping from one lady to the other. At a point he stopped going to church, he couldn’t stand the weight of guilt that plagued his heart.
He became friends with Kola, who introduced him to the Lagos night life and before long he had gone far into this life. Within 6 months, his life had changed so much. 
One day he was surfing the Internet,  he came across a blog by an old friend of his, otmwrites.wordpress.com and chatted him up on Facebook. 
They were served God together on campus but lost contact after graduation. As they chatted, he could perceive the fire in his friend but he couldn’t tell him that he had gone so cold and had even strayed from the path of righteousness. 
One evening around 7:20pm, his friend called him up that he was led to pray with him, he allowed him and as he was praying, he stopped and said I am coming over to your house right away.
That visit that night was a turning point in Philip’s life.
He wept and wept as his friend discussed with him and the only thing his friend was saying was that ‘Philip, weeping will not save you but a decision to come back to Christ your first love.’
