We have more than enough books on marriages but few homes that are models of what is written in the Word. – Pst Segun Coker
When we got engaged, I and wifey sat down to discuss what type of marriage we wanted.
We made some deep decisions that are helping us till date.
We decided that our marriage won’t be governed by any culture or tradition but scriptures.
We decided from the beginning there is no walking out from the marriage and we committed ourselves to honouring the terms of our staying together.
We know there are many examples of weak marriages all around us and we resolved our own must be an example of a strong one.
We decided to project oneness in everything…this is one of the reasons you will always see us together.
Now I am writing this to singles going into marriage and everywhere you look, it seem that there are no good models to look up to…my challenge for you is to commit yourself to making your home a model of a great marriage.
Don’t look at the wrong ones, look at the great ones and if you don’t have anyone around you…look into scriptures and get God’s word for a strong marriage.
You can’t enter marriage with a wrong vibe, you will likely repeat it.
The truth is that your home can become that model the world is looking for when you commit to it by simply yielding to God’s Spirit.
I wish you well.
