He has called, so we go!

In 2016, I was offered a job in Lagos. It looked like a good offer and as I considered it, I asked myself, why did you leave Lagos in 2015 to Sagamu…it was because God had told me in February 2010 that I was going to leave wherever I am and relocate to Sagamu, Ogun State.

And when it was fullness of time May, 2015, I and my wife knew it was time.

It came to my heart that “Lagos is your past, Sagamu is your future” and I wrote this poem.

*We carry the torch*
To the dark recesses of this world
We go to shine His light to men’s dark heart
Not minding what may befall us
He has called so we go.

To death or life, we care not
His will we pursue and dearly south
On and on we go…
The torch burns bright in our hands
In our heart it burns brighter
He has called so we go.

We have laid hands on this plow
We are not of them that draw back
His grace released, that we have received
No friend or foe, no riches or poverty
No lack or abundance, no suffering or enjoyment
Can by His grace draw us back
He has called, so we go.

Young man, young woman
Let your gaze be ahead of you
Looking unto Him who has called
Into His marvelous light from darkness
Unto Him look earnestly for he has authored
And He alone has the capability to finish
Stay strong against the strong tides
He has promised to always be with you
Even to the end of ages.

He has called, so let us all GO.
