THE DAY I AND MY WIFE LAUGHED AND SHED TEARS AT THE SAME TIME
…so we had left all and followed God’s direction for our lives. I knew in my heart I was taking the right decision but there were so many uncertainties. How are we going to feed? How are we going to start? etc…so many questions but we followed God anyway.
Listen, you may not know all that you need to know when following God’s purpose for your life but if you can see the step in front of you, take it. Every other step that you will take is dependent on that first step of faith.
So we had taken our first step, we left Lagos and moved to Sagamu, sailing under God’s instructions. I had started doing the work and it was slow but I was making little progress here and there.
One day, I and wife at were playing in the house and just having a good time….then something happened
…maybe I bent down or something, I can’t remember but the trouser I was wearing got torn from the back and it was so bad that it couldn’t be repaired.
So we started laughing about it, then it also dawned on us that it is one of the trousers I wear when I want to go for outreaches, so tears started coming from our eyes again …we were laughing and crying at the same time.
What brought the tears was that I had been managing two trousers when I want to go for outreaches and there wasn’t money to buy another.
My wife was saying “Why did you allow it to tear now? Why didn’t you remove it…blah blah…”
I now had only one good trousers to go for outreach and I rocked it for a while till God provided another much later.
It was so funny that when we remember now, it still brings laughter with tears welling up in our eyes.
By the grace of God, I am still trusting Him for all our needs and he has provided many trousers over the years
One beautiful thing about marrying right in God is that things that tear people apart bonds you. You approach things from the perspective of God.
It doesn’t matter the storms that come both of you can go through it and still come out victorious without it tearing your home apart.
This is one of our prayers for you even as we countdown to SMTO2022 that you will choose right and indeed you will be of one heart with one another.
And for those that have chosen already that God will give you both a united heart to confront any storm facing your home.
