I am an advocate for the supernatural in kingdom ministry. It is the presence of the supernatural that distinguishes a ministry from a NGO or social club or business school. When you bring God into an equation, it can NEVER be only natural.I have seen things happen in the kingdom of darkness that are beyond the natural and these are not mere stories. There is a friend of mine(also an FB friend) that practically went into occult and I knew all he was involved in until he gave his life to Christ. I have seen people shot at close range and the bullet didn’t have effect on them. (This is not abija and fadeyi oloro story…right in front of me).The supernatural is real in the kingdom of God and in the devil’s kingdom but we know that at the name of Jesus…ALL the supernatural powers of the devil is multiplied by 0.Any serious christian must desire to be empowered by the Holy Spirit to do exploits in the kingdom and not to fall prey to the enemy.Having said all that to show where I stand on the supernatural, I must also say there is also a place for common sense and the knowledge of the word of God. You must balance it or else you would have gone into spiritism or idolatry ignorantly. If someone gives you a ‘prophecy’ and tell you to get a black thread, candles and some other things, then ask you to wake up exactly 1:00am, recite a Psalm 100 times and burn the candles and the thread…if you know your Bible, you don’t need to be told that it isn’t Christ but spiritism or even occultism.Or someone gives you a prophecy and immediately you are taken over by the spirit of fear…that is not Christ! It is an attempt by the devil to bring you into bondage. We have not so learned Christ. The Holy Spirit reveals to redeem not to enslave you in fear. And for some people that are always going to a prophet to give them a word. You are not serving Christ but man at best or the devil at worst. The true prophet that also delights in giving people word always will pressure himself into presumption and guesses. I was in a church sometime ago and people lined up to see the ‘prophet’, I could sense it in my spirit when he started guessing not deliberately but because the people were expecting him to perform…he had to perform. And who says the ‘word’ giving by prophet irrespective of what it sounds like must be obeyed? …that is for another time.Let us teach people about the supernatural…let us bring them into a personal experience of the Holy Spirit and your spiritual gift will be more effective for the people that you lead. But if you keep allowing them to consult you like they are consulting ifa oracle…gradually you will become a babalawo.@ohteehem
