Suffering or wealth is not a proof that you are serving or not serving Christ.
Your serving or not Christ can certainly impact on it negatively or positively but it isn’t a proof.
Some will be very rich as a result of their alignment to God’s purpose for their lives and some others may become poor as a result of alignment to God’s will for their lives.
The most important thing is are you in alignment?
And the context of my ‘rich or poor’ is in the context of man and earthly things but if we change it to the context of God, both the rich man in alignment with God and the poor man in alignment with God are the same…
That’s why a man like Paul can say “…sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; poor, yet making many rich; having nothing, and yet possessing everything…” 2Cor 6:10
It is alignment.
A man that was led to a village of 500 people by the Lord and he is to stay there as long as he is alive cannot be successful by what man is using as a standard today and he will be foolish and will frustrate himself trying to compare himself with someone in alignment with God in a major city. If he starts setting up exotic platforms, light, AC, multimedia etc and the people there don’t even have good water to drink…won’t that be foolishness?
The man in a major city will also be very ignorant to think he is a better servant of God and if he is looking down on the man in a village as wasting his destiny then he doesn’t understand God at all.
We must all find our alignment by our design.
This is the reason you must have a very healthy Christ-esteem and a dangerous focus on the assignment God has called you to be…not seeking validation of men…not thinking you are wasting away…or if you are on the other side, must remain humble if by reason of design you have means and must redistribute to your brother serving where he can never get enough means.
We will get to heaven and we will see generals (and really is there something like that?) that were cleaners here on earth. If there is anything called general, I believe the true definition will be someone that was faithful in the assignment God called him or her to do.
TO ALL MEN, FIND ALIGNMENT AND BE FAITHFUL.
