SPIRITUAL ENGAGEMENTS
A human mind cannot be educated to become saved.
Education at best affects the faculties of the physical man and this is subject to change based on the period of life that you existed because knowledge will always increase.
We cannot afford to secularise spiritual engagements and expect people to somewhere along the line become redeemed.
Spiritual engagements must pass on spiritual truths that ministers to the spirit of man and when he interacts with it, making an informed decision based on faith and conviction from the Holy Spirit he becomes saved.
There are so many highly educated sinners in church pews that are mind educated day in, day out but never confronted with the reality of God’s love and their need of a saviour.
They speak the language and belong to the clique…They sing the song and know the dance….They know the mannerisms and can even teach well because of their deep understanding of the human knowledge being passed on day by day but they don’t know the father.
This is highly unfortunate. How will a man be in constant ‘spiritual’ engagements for many years and has never at any time be deliberately pointed to Christ? How come he hasn’t been deliberately brought up in the way of the kingdom?
How come he seeks for more and more knowledge of the finite time but never in a conquest to know Him that paid the ransom for his sins? He will make great sacrifices to educate his mind but will never move an inch for his spiritual health?
He is well behaved but he is not saved. A good citizen here but never made ready to meet his saviour. What a tragedy of life!
And then the other tragedy, a quest in the heart for religiousness that doesn’t make any meaning in life. He begs for bread continually. He cries for the acts and never the ways.
IF we look very well, we will discover that our father has been misrepresented to him.
So we conclude that he probably doesn’t know Him but because he has all the appearance we are deceived. What a tragedy!
SPIRITUAL ENGAGEMENTS MUST BIRTH SPIRITUAL TRUTHS THAT PRODUCES A DEEP SEATED RESPONSE OF FAITH IN THE HEART WHICH IN TURN CAUSES A RADICAL APPROACH TO THE OPERATION OF THE EVERYDAY LIFE.
Anything less or else is misrepresentation of our father.
