Dreaming
Fade moved with caution
It was black dark
The night before the great feast
Even though mother had warned her not to go out
She refused.
The priest is around
And having his own feast
Gathered around him
People of all ages
He provided everything they needed
And in a soft voice
Taught them wisdom of the ages.
My love for him is unmatched
Every night he had visited her heart
Whispered soothing words to her ears
She had waited for this night all year.
My love has come home
Tomorrow we shall be as one
But today his desire is for the people around him.
Fade turned on her bed
Realizing it was but a dream.
The Passover night.
