Trapped in the past?

Dear Disciple,

Are you trapped by the past?

I have been watching you and I see you are growing in your walk with God.

However I see that you are shirking from stepping into God’s purpose for your life. I see that you are stylishly running away from going deep into your future because of things that has happened in the past.

You look at all your mistakes and errors and it overwhelms you. You are filled with fear because you don’t know how to confront the error and people from your past.

It seem you are caged by your past and this is making you so afraid of going to the future. There are things you should have done by this time but the fear of what people will say or you are afraid if your past will catch up with you.

Hear this, there is nothing you can do about your past and the people in it…however if you don’t let go, it will affect your future. You cannot correct things that you have done to, with, for people but you can start from now to live a new life.

The most important person in your life, God, doesn’t count all those things against you anymore. He has wiped the slate clean and given you a new pen to start writing afresh. Don’t allow guilt and fear immobilize you from going into your future.

Don’t go around trying to prove to people that you are now a new person, just live your life and they will soon catch up with the new you.

Saul when he met Christ, he didn’t weigh himself down under the yoke of guilt of persecuting Christians but he told the Lord, “What will you have me do?” And he rose up to run with it till he breathed his last.

So don’t be afraid to confront the devil, if he tries to remind you of your past tell him, you now have a new life which he is not opportune to have

You are no longer a slave of sin, of fear, of guilt….you are a child of God.

So go into your future with head raised high because you are now the beloved of God.

Glory to God!
