Breaking the Yoke
Frank had been taken to Pastor’s office after falling under the power of God as Mrs Eniola James was praying for the converts.
After counselling others, she went to the Pastor’s office and asked two pastors to stay with her.
“Good evening brother, my name is Eniola, what is your name please?” Mrs James asked.
“My name is Frank ma.” He replied.
“Sorry for keeping you waiting, I was attending to the other people outside.” She said picking a chair to seat opposite him on the sofa where he was seated.
“No problem, I also used the time to pray and listen to God.”
“Alright, that’s good, we have very limited time so let us get on with our discussion. What happened in your childhood sexually?”
Frank was taken aback, he was quiet for about three minutes and memories of what happened many years ago came to him.
“Hmm, when I was about nine years ago I was sexually abused by an neighbour who was like an elder sister to me even though then I didn’t know it was an abuse.”
“Wow, God showed me as I was ministering that the sexual exposure you had when you were a child opened you up to strange spirits.”
“Ma, is that why I have been struggling with masturbation? I have done everything to stop but it has been impossible.”
“In your case, it sure maybe the link but not in all cases. There are times that habits are just habits, no spirits are attached and you can easily stop the habit by being disciplined and developing new ones.
In some cases like yours however there are spirits that have taken over and they are fuelling the habit. So the spirit behind the habit need to be dealt with and then discipline yourself to stop the habit by developing new habits.”
“Okay ma.” Frank replied.
“The first step is salvation which you have settled the other time, we will plead the blood of Jesus on our lives and we will command every spirit to pack their tokens and lose their right over your life in the name of Jesus.
We will ask for an infilling of the Holy Spirit and then make a commitment to some practical principles for victorious living.”
“Okay ma.”
“Let us all rise up to pray.” She turned towards the Pastors who were seated on another sofa close to the door.
Prayer points
1. Father, have mercy on me. Forgive me all my sins, cleanse me by your blood.
2. I plead upon my spirit,soul and body the blood of Jesus.
3. I renounce every connection I have with any evil spirit and submit my life to the authority of Jesus only.
4. Every spirit fuelling sinful habits in my life, in Jesus name lose your hold over me now.
5. Fire of the Holy Ghost purge me spirit, soul and body.
6. Holy Spirit of God fill me to overflowing
7. Empower me o Lord, make me a useful vessel in your hands.

Some habits are fuelled by evil spirits and it takes the power of God to destroy the yokes.
While not all habits are demonic actions however sin especially sexual sins expose us to very strange spirits and once there is a legal ground we will need to pray to destroy every seed and put an end to their operations in our lives.
The prayer points will help you begin somewhere and you may need to have a spiritual leader pray for you. Declare at least three days fast and pray until you get your victory.
Next stories will take you through practical steps to discipline your body. Paul said “I put my body under…”. God won’t do it for you, it is your responsibility.
