Witnessing like Christ

Freedom isn’t the right to do the what we like, but the right to do what is right. Freedom without control is bondage in disguise.

Let us know however that the most important control is self control and no matter how we force someone to stop a habit, if the person doesn’t have that seed in him he will pretend for a while and go back into who he really is.

The role of the person trying to help the other person is love, instruction, guidance and discipline not of coercion or “lording” it over the person.

Many people know that their habits are bad and they have tried to stop but after some failures, they gave up and because people were more judgemental than being helpful they become rebellious while others continue to pretend like all is well.

This is a major reason why many churches are breeding rebellious and hypocritical followers who can’t seat with the Shepard of their churches and say “This is who I am, help me”

Teachers, counsellors must become like Jesus who accepted all but condemned sin in all. The disciples came to him, gave their lives to him and their perfecting work began. It is not because we are righteous that Jesus accepted us,it is because we needed his help.

May the Holy Spirit breathe upon these words in your heart as you renew your commitment to witness in Christ-like pattern.

Shalom!
