Young man
Look at this young man
With his Bible clenched in his arms
He jumps and waves in excitement
He kneels by the street corner
He says his prayers
And sits to study his Bible
Then
The young lady comes
With a beautiful dress that makes
That makes a good man’s heart jump
She walks along the street singing
Voice like that of an angel.
Then
The young man looks up from his Bible
Calls out to the young woman – a friend
She turns around to greet him – exchanging pleasantries
A hug, that almost became a huggggg
“Are you busy?” She asked slyly
“Not really.” He replied sheepishly
Then
She sits down with him
The young man closed his Bible
They chatted for a while
Talking about church and the Bible.
“You know today is Bible study in church.” The young man says.
“I am a bit tired, can’t go to church today.” She said sleepily, putting her head on his shoulder.🤗
“No problem, what we are even doing now is Bible study.” He said🙄🙄
Then
They spent the next three hours chatting
Saying sweet nothings, laughing…
He leaned back and she rested her head on his laps
They chatted and chatted
Until it was dark.
His Bible closed beside him
After reluctantly parting ways
The young man went back home
High from the investment in his soul
He lies down on his bed to say a short prayer before he sleeps, his mind wondered
The thought was a pleasant one
He could still feel her beautiful skin on his laps.
Then it happened again
What he said he had stopped
His soul raged against his spirit…his body couldn’t say no.
He woke up the next morning crying again.
“The one who sows to please his flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; but the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.” Gal 6:8

P.S It can be young man or young woman…just change the actors. The field has changed, it is now online on Whatsapp or Instagram but still the same tactics of the enemy and the carelessness of man.
