HOW GOD SPOKE TO ME ABOUT MY WIFE AT HER YOUNGER SISTER’S WEDDING

…this is one of my favorite stories as I searched the heart of God concerning Fatima that I had received.

In the midst of me checking if Fatima was the person indeed that God is leading me to, she invited me to her younger sister’s wedding.

I took it as an opportunity to know her family. It is my belief and conviction that when two people come together, it is a new home that God is building from them not an extension of their parent’s home.

However, the person you are getting married to is a product of a discipleship in a home and that discipleship has shapened their principles, manner of life, mindsets and world view.

So when making marital choice even though you are not marrying his or her parent, it is important to know what you are dealing with before you enter into it.

There is no perfect home and there are different ways to manage the different home backgrounds.

Yours must be managed based on what you are presented with and that is the reason when making marital choice, it is important that you investigate the type of home your potential spouse is from.

Back to my story, I took the invitation to the wedding as an opportunity to observe closely the kind of family Fatima comes from.

So I asked my friend that finally became my best man at the wedding to accompany me on this destiny trip.

She thought she was just inviting me for the wedding (and her own story was that, as she was the first born, there was going to be a lot of attention turned towards her, asking her about her own man…so she invited many of her male friends to cover up) but for me, it was a destiny determining trip.

I got to the bus stop and we entered a tricycle. As we waited for it to move, one woman started talking aloud that the only reason she could have come this long distance for this wedding was because the mother of the bride is a good woman and the daughter getting married is an amazing lady…blah blah…

Then my friend tapped me that am I listening? I winked at him and smiled. God was already answering my questions right from the bus stop.

When we got to the venue of the wedding, it rained and we assisted with moving of chairs and all…after we were done, we sat at a balcony as the reception progressed. Some women started discussing about the family again…

“You see this girl getting married today is a good girl and her mother is a fantastic woman…you see that Fatima when she is getting married, whoever marries her is a lucky man…”

They just continued talking on their own. My friend was tapping me again and we were smiling.

Then the women asked us “Is one of you the husband to be?” We just laughed

I had not even proposed at the time.

But here I am trusting God to lead me and all those conversations were direct answers to the questions in my heart.

Most of the time, what many focus on is the spectacular and they miss the supernatural. God can wrap the supernatural in simple things, you need to be discerning to hear him speak to you.

Many say that they can’t hear him speak to them even after praying for a long while, well in my experience, what I have learnt is that if you give attention enough, you will see His leading. It doesn’t have to be spectacular and it may also be.

I have had times that a young boy comes to me in the dream to teach me Bible studies that I am supposed to teach the next day.

I have had angelic encounters leading me in serious matters of life but most of the times there is nothing spectacular about God’s leading, it is just by tuning my spirit and I discern His will.

I know some people teach that God is not in the business of leading people concerning who to marry but I am talking to people that have sold their lives to God and are committed to His plan for their lives to him….GOD LEADS IN ANY MATTER OF YOUR LIFE TILL TOMORROW!!! GIVE ATTENTION, IT CAN COME ANY WAY HE PLEASES.

Say ‘I am led by the Spirit, in all matters of my life. I am not dull of hearing. My sensitivity is sharp. I know the mind of Christ and I follow his plan at all times. Glory to God”

Do you know the amazing thing about this story was that when I finally proposed and my wife told her younger sister about me…she asked her “Did he come to my wedding? If he came to my wedding, he is your husband…”

Apparently, she had interceded for her sister and prayed that God must bring her elder sister’s husband to her wedding. It happened just like that…is God not amazing????
